Plenty of work around the house...

We're finally in nesting mode and getting our home prepared for the arrival of our Little Lady. Last week Scott spent several hours prepping the office/guest room for paint and this weekend our amazing friends Amanda and Andi came over to paint. It was hard to have my friends painting my house and not being able to help. I thought about it long and hard before I accepted their offer but I finally gave in after realizing I should accept help when offered and appreciate it. I feel so lucky to have friends like mine.

While the girls painted, Scott and I played with Trent and cooked dinner. Trent was so much fun. He played with his toys, watched Scott juggle and basically followed Scott around. I almost teared up once when Trent was playing and when Scott came in to sit down Trent pushed his toys aside and made his way over to pull himself up onto Scott. It was sooo cute! All the kids love my man and it's such an endearing quality of his. I can't wait for our Little Lady to her Daddy as a playmate :)

Michelle, Brian and Aria also made it over Saturday. Aria is so cute. She's a perfect little angel. It was a nice treat to have Brian over too. He usually has gigs during the weekends and rarely makes it to our get togethers so it was nice to have the entire Lee family over.

Scott prepared delicious turkey balls for the spaghetti while I made a salad and garlic bread. It was sooo yummy! We've really been stepping it up in the kitchen lately. Actually Scott has. He's the meat man and I'm the sides lady.

Moving on to Sunday... We worked around the house some more and Ann -n- Milt came over for a quick visit. Ann brought some wall stickers for the nursery that go perfect with the decor we've chosen. They're such amazing in-laws. I feel lucky to be so close with them. Sunday evening we went to Adam-n-Sarah's to celebrate Sarah's 31st bday. We bbq'd and had a great evening just hanging around with family.

Monday was uneventful. We spent so much time the week before working on the house and running around, we were just plain exhausted. Scott relaxed on the couch and I worked on Algebra all day n night.

Coming up this week... Working on Algebra so I can have my first week of studies complete before I leave for Florida this Saturday. I think I might be getting the hang of blogging... We'll see if I can keep it up!

It's a gir!!!

Scott and I found out we're having a baby girl yesterday. We're so excited to add a little lady to our family!

So here's how the day went. We met with Dr. Seeker for the first time as he recently changed docs. He has delivered at least 8 of our friends babies and we've heard so many great things about his personility and bedside manner. So we got the docs office at 1pm as scheduled and met up with Ann & Milt, aka grandma & grandpa Joplin. We wanted to share the excitement of the anatomy ultrasound with them. After an hour and a half wait we finally got called in. I was expecting a long wait as Dr. Seeker is a very busy man and pays extra special attention to each of his patients so it's worth the wait. Turns out one of his new nurses was the very first nurse we had met with at our previous docs office and she had just came aboard Seekers team which excited us because she was the nicest lady on the staff at Dr. Smiths office. We immediately started the ultrasound and discovered our little baby girl. Since Tiffany was new to the team we got an extra long ultrasound viewing because she got to do a little practicing after the head nurse finished up. Ann & Milt headed off to another appt before Dr. Seeker arrived. We waited another hour or so for Dr. Seeker. He was doing an emergency delivery so again, we didn't mind the wait. We had plenty of time to talk about our little girl and what will her name be etc.. Finally Dr. Seeker arrived and introduced himself and he took another peak at the baby, exclaiming excitement that it is in fact a baby girl. He made us feel so wonderful about our baby and how everything was growing just fine and our baby seems to be in great health. In the midst of the ultrasound Dr. Seeker got a call on his cell phone. weird I thought. He responded to the caller "oh wonderful. I'll be right there." 2nd delivery of the day he said with excitement! I was so impressed he answered his cell phone during my appt. I know when my baby is on her way he'll be available for me too. So we wrapped it up cuz he had a special delivery on the way. He hugged me a gave Scott another handshake asking if we had any questions and was off. I'm just tickled with Dr. Seeker and his staff. And I'm tickled we're having a girl! I think yesterday may have been the best day of my life...

PS: Top baby names we considering... Olivia Ann Joplin or Nina.

For the Blogger Nazi's

Hi Joan & Amanda. This blog is for you... Amanda is withholding a precious blog along with photos of our walk with the babies on town lake last weekend. She said I need to post a blog before she'll share.

It's been months since I've last blogged and alot has happened. Scott and I married on January 18th, 2008 and we're expecting of first rug rat September 19th, 2008. Exciting and scary! The first 3 months were horrible. I thought pregnant women only acted crazy in the movies. Not true. I've come to find that most are crazy people while pregnant. hehe except Amanda of course. she was the perfect little preggers lady.

Now into the 5 month of pregnancy things have calmed down and I'm happily caring a little baby. It's so amazing to feel it move around inside me. Oh sweet baby Floyd... or are you Floydiva? LOL We'll find out the sex this Monday May 5th so you may see another blog that day.

Trent is growing so fast and becoming such a big boy. He smiles now more than he cries which is soooo nice. His smiles makes you smile. I love it! He's so happy now. Why wouldn't he be? He has a great life with a wonderful mother and father. Can't wait to watch this little guy grow up into a soccer playing artist.

And Aria... what a cute little angel. She barely makes a peep and sleeps for hours and hours. I promised Michelle I'd bring my newborn to her house for training if it cries too much or doesn't sleep enough!

OK Amanda... your turn!

Trents first laugh!

Today has been great! I went to visit with Amanda and Trent which is always a nice treat for me. I'm always relaxed and calm after visiting with them. When I showed up Trent was riding along on his Mommy in this cute baby carrier thingy. His little feet were dangling and he had a huge smile on his face. You could tell they were having a good fun day together. It didn't take long for me to start my "Oh Trent you're so cute!" babytalk. I was tickling his little feet and dancing around like a goofball. With a big smile on his face out comes a "giggle giggle giggle". Amanda said OMG that was Trents first laugh! We were soo excited. You should've seen his little face. I've been thinking about it all day and will never ever forget that moment. I was so tickled to have given Trent his very first laugh. I'm looking forward to many more memories like this one.

My First Blog

I've decided to get on board with blogging. I really enjoy reading Amanda's blog and thought I'd give it a try. We'll see how it goes.
